Ok so I'm not an Alfa owner....yet. I drive an Audi A4 Avant TDI(130).
It was bought as a cost saving exercise to reduce my fuel bill, and all other running costs for that matter, when my job took me 45 miles away daily. At the time I had a WRX Impreza.
Anyway, I can't complain, it's done the job asked of it. Now at 110k it's still going fine but the combination of high miles and a feeling that I've compromised too much...the handling is a bit dull and lifeless and to be honest the interior was a real compromise for me. I bought ex-fleet and down to a price so I got the interior that comes with buying that way. It's a dark blue with a greyish blue cloth which makes me feel slightly depressed.
Now, I've been a fan of Italian cars for a long time. If I had my way I would be driving a Maserati but can't afford it. Well maybe I could afford an older model GT4200 but not the running of it.
Anyway, my heart is set on a GT 1.9 JTD, BUT, it can't be more than 10k. It's a self-enforced limit, because the wife and I agreed that the big money would be spent on the her car, using our combined purchasing power. Impossible? I've seen some examples out there, but they are nearly all dealer. So there must be some cheaper private cars for sale.
Or, I could compromise, and get something like this Sportwagon, but does it have the wiff of a scam in it?
