I have never seen such a complicated forum.
Anyone please help? I have an 1990 Alfa Romeo 75, 1.6. It's still almost like new, 90,000 km. A few months ago while backing I heard a thump and after a hassle, the mechanic fixed it, something about a Guntura (Italian) for joint. If you put the car up on a lift, right directly under the engine is an opening, the mechanic said it was cracked. After he fixed it, I was able to use it for several months. Today, I heard a thump and the engine suddenly went dead. What is it that is directly under the engine, that has a small opening to see, and has a joint, and the joint is cracked? The starter motor turns the engine oevr, but it will not start. It doesn't seem to be electrical problems. can it be something to do with the clutch?
