So, i'm new to the forum but not new to that which is Alfa.
My first Alfa was an 82 Alfasud Green Cloverleaf, in red, and there are many bits off that car that just fell off while driving up and down the old A1 near Ferrybridge (now the a162)...in fact if i searched around the ditches alongside that road there may be half my car still...although only the plastic bits as it's been 25 years or so and that 80s Alfa steel didnt stay steel for long!
My second ALfa (no, i didn't learm) was a 1979 Alfasud Sprint Veloce in white with green trim. Both mirrors were ripped off in a carwash and then the gearbox had a major catastrophic failure when a bearing collapsed and shed a cartload of steel balls into the box and one or two (hard to say really as they were ind of mushed up) got caught up between the teeth and locked everything up ssolid whilst travelling along at 70! I wasn't doing 70 for very long i tell you!! :/
I kind of had half another Alfa-ish thing when i bought a Nissan Cherry Europe to get me to work for a while. It was surprisingly nippy but i was offered a Nissan Sunny GTiR at the right price and that replaced it...even though the Cherry was actually quite reliable.
So, that brings us to today. I've decided to get another. Just for old times sake and we are looking at getting an Alfa GT JDTm...or, maybe a 147 in the same flavour.
We aren't 100% on the model yet, but it will be an Alfa of some breed!
So, anyway, watch this space...
