GTV 916

Hello from Wellington, New Zealand,

A month or so ago my girlfriend decided she needed a new car; it should be red, manual, and a Alfa Romeo... I couldn't fault her taste.

So, I bought her a red 2002 GTV 916 with tan seats - it has a few niggles, but seems in pretty good condition. Also, it is awesome.

It's not our first Alfa, I had a 156 JTS Selespeed which... well, it stopped in the middle of a carpark... actually, it stopped in the middle of a car park after my girlfriend had been driving in reverse round and round another car park for days on end after Police driver training demonstrated that she didn't know how to drive in reverse.

While I was selling her old car, I found out that she hadn't serviced it in 18 months....

So, I have delegated Operational Management of the GTV to myself. I blew a hole in the muffler on the first weekend, so I've replaced the exhaust... but there are heaps of cosmetic repairs to do: bonnet fade, badges, the elusive phase 2 grille, rubber door seals, boot struts... its a long list. I'm look forward to it!

My other vehicles are a battleship grey, very teutonic, very grey, E90 320i and a thoroughly awesome Triumph Sprint ST 1050.
