Santa Fe Alfa Owner
I've owned two GTV projects since 1991. Found the first one growing in the front yard of a friends house. 3 margueritas and 500 dollars later, a complete but worn 1974 GTV limped to my place, whispering, "you'll never get rid of me.... ".
The 69 showed up in an innocent newspaper ad, unbelieveably still unbought when I drove up a week later. Basically a botched restore, the very nice PO was in the middle of a divorce, owned 7 exotics, and his soon to be ex was on the front porch telling me to make an offer, ANY offer. I followed the tow truck back to my house with a pickup load of spare parts that came with my new aquisition.
Both cars and I have come a long way, traveled across country and been reduced and rebuilt to different levels of operation. The 74 can be a daily driver, the 69 is currently in Queretaro Mexico after I've rebuilt most of the mechanicals. Paint and interior will be complete in Oct and I'll drive back on a two week tour.....
