Howsit?

I'm driving a '99 156 selespeed. I've had some trouble with the gearbox from day 1 but it's all been fixed now since they repaired the robot. Now all I've got to do, I think, is get it tuned because when it's cold the gear change is quite rough and hops along most noticeably when changing into second. Apart from that I love it.

Re: Howsit?

Hmm, actually Scooter, now you mention it when mine is first started first thing in the morning it is also very picky about what gear it thinks you should be in, and it also is a little jumpy from first to second, but my master clutch control puts a stop to this problem anyway, lol

This does go away after a few miles and won't happen again for the rest of the day. But this has been the case on all my previous cars as well, I think it might be the gearbox fluid not being fully warmed up yet.

Welcome to the forum though buddy and glad you got it mainly sorted!

Darren

Hi! There.:Yep, what Darren said about the Sele' fluid being a bit sluggish at low temps,Kangaroo'ing til' it circulates freely? David C suggests a Re-calibration may help this peculiarity.:
