About to take the plunge

Hi everyone. Been lurking for a while, soaking up all the knowledge on here and I think I'm ready to get my first alfa.

Been driving a Fiat bravo for a few years now so i'm not totally unfamiliar with the joys and trials of Italian car ownership.

I've been leaning towards a nice phase 2 GTV TS, been to see a couple locally but none totally made the grade, i'm holding out for the right one (Ideal car: alfa red/black lusso with tan leather). I did see a nice 156 sportwagon the other week which caught my eye, i think that moment of sensibleness has passed though...

...afterall you're only young once right? Plenty of time for estates when i've got a dicky back, kids and a dog. Convince me guys .

Welcome aboard mate.

Heres the short and sweet of it: Get yourself a GTV 3.0i V6.

Just do it, lol

Re: About to take the plunge

Well, I finally found one.

GTV, Rosso red phase II TS. V plate with only 37K on the clock, FSH + cambelt done by James twist. Taking the day off work to pick her up and "get used to her :-)". If the weather holds I might give it a good wash and polish and get some pics taken.

Will be joining the AROC when my account has recovered from the hit...though I think I got a reasonable price at just less than 4K given the condition and mileage.

That's a very good price. I recently paid £4700 for my black one with 38K on the clock. Although it does have front and back spoiler and side skirts so I thought it was a fairly good price. Red was my preferred colour though so if you get fed up of the brightness we can do a swap in a few months time if you like
