Hello All....just want to introduce myself. A long time Audi driver and maybe about to change to Alfa Romeo! This afternoon I have a test drive in a Q2 GT, having already tried the Audi TT 2.0 FSI. I'll post my thoughts later. However a few words about the TT. I thought it was a great car, the FSI engine has amazing torque for a 2 litre petrol engine, and combined with the cars light weight aluminium construction (1260kg) acceleration is terrific and fuel economy nearly up there with the diesel Q2. I didn't enjoy so much the ease with which it's possible to promote wheel spin and the evident torque steer which was very unnerving when making a rapid overtaking maneouvre! Hence, my interest in the Q2. I'm also looking for something more distinctive and more rare on the roads.
Just one question. Has anyone experience of fitting a Pioneer double DIN navigation/multimedia system to the GT. I'd prefer a more modern system to the Connect + offered by Alfa which looks dated and probably uses dated technology...viz no blue tooth etc. If I fit a more modern system what about the Bose audio that comes as standard with the Q2 and the steering wheel controls.
Get the TT and do as Nomad said!
I'm pretty sure it can be done even with the steering wheel controls - those have been discussed at length. Search and ye shall find.
