First Alfa Romeo - broke my heart in 20 minutes.
I have always been a petrol head finally got myself an Alfa Romeo 156 1.6 Twin Spark (2003)
Test drive was during the day. Drives like a dream, noticed that temp gauge didn't move much, but was only a short test drive so was not overly concerned.
So on the way home, temp gauge doesn't move above 50! turned lights on, bulb in temp gauge is gone, bulb in fuel gauge is gone and one in tachometer.
Then the airbag, abs and warning triangle come on. I stopped and turned engine off/on after another half mile lights are back on.
Almost home and I notice that the brake lights are on most of the time, if I lift the peddle they go off.
So it's definitely an Alfa, I have fallen in love with the engine and the way it drives, but already a long list of things to fix.
Looks like I will be a frequent visitor here over the coming months.
I'm hoping to be able to keep it for the odd fairweather use, rather than a daily driver, so all the faults will give me something to tinker with in the evenings.
