hello everyone. i'm a long time alfa owner. I purchased my Euro 63 Guilia Spyder in 1978. It is a 1600 Normale with a weber DCD36 carb.
This is the only deviation from an orginal car. But a recognized one as per a 1962 Alfa Owner technical article. The original air cleaner fits
perfectly. It is, in my opinion the best color combination of this vintage alfa - grey paint-red interior-black "canvas" and white toneau cover. I've had the car in storage under a tarp for a while and last registered about 10 years ago. Haven't had much time for it, but it runs and looks great. 52,000 k kilometers. originally owned by an italian lawyer, purchased by a us army band member stationed in italy and brought to us in early 70's. he sold it to a guy who updated the carb did some engine work. I've maintained it since. Repainted, Rechromed and replace rocker panels in the early/mid 80's and it's been garaged and under car cover ever since. now deciding what to do - drive or????
great to be back into the alfa scene.
