Help Coolant leak

Hi everyone,

I've got a 2003 Alfa 147 and just noticed that the coolant tank is almost empty. There is also a damp patch on the ground near the front nearside wheel so presumably it is linked to the low coolant level. Does anybody have any ideas as to what might be wrong - and whether it is likely to be a costly a repair? I would also be grateful for any advice as to how to top-up the coolant level until I can get it to a garage?

Thanks in advance for your replies.

Re: Coolant leak

Hi Mike,

Thanks for your response. I've tried having a look underneath but can't see what's causing the problem. It certainly seems to be a bit damp around some of valves. I recently had it MOT'd and they said I'd got a minor leak from a power steering pipe-yet it's the coolant that's low. Could this be the same problem? If it is a pipe, is it difficult to repair?
