Wave Squadrone Rosso - member interview

Your Forum name Squadrone Rosso

Real name Simon Addison

Age 37

Occupation Civil Servant - Home Office

Lives Just outside of Coventry but a proud Welshman

Marital Status Married to Clare - 16 years

Which cars do you drive and why? 156 JTS Veloce (because it's mine) & the wife's 3.2 GT (when she lets me).

Are you a real passionate for Alfa Romeo? Yep - live and breath them Been to Italy a few times too.

Would you ever consider joining an Alfa Club or are you already a member of one? Member of this one & AROC. Love 'em both.

What do you like most about Alfas? The herritige, passion, individuality, dealers (not), driving pleasure

What do you like least about Alfas? Dealers, ARUK & idiots who diss them 'cause they think they rust & breakdown all the time

What would be your dream cars? The new 8c, Ferrari F430, or a 612 Scaglietti Masser QP as a daily driver.

What car would you least like to drive? Anything boring or diesel

What would be your ideal drive in an Alfa (destination, passenger, driving music, etc)? To Maranello, my wife, the 3.2 engine.

Any humorous Alfa or car-related stories you wish to share with us? Running out of fuel after an extended game of fuel station bingo

What interests do you have outside of Alfas? My family & friends, my dog, good food, nice watches & holidays. Mad Ferrari fan to with a Tattoo to prove it.

Tell us something nobody knows about you. (E.g. special skill, ever been on TV, etc) If I did, I'd have to kill you

Do you have a party trick? If so what is it? I used to get drunk, sing & strip off - in public I've grown out of that now

What do you like most about the Alfaowner forum? Any favourite threads, episodes or people? It's a community that I'm proud to be part of

If you had £50,000 you had to spend in 72 hours, how would you choose to spend it? A classic Ferrari like a 512T, 328 GTB & so on.

Cheers for now,

Simon

Nice one Si..

Seen as your grew out of your old party trick, your new one could be either threatening ARUK with legal action or getting featured in Auto Express

Did that once in the Belgian Ardennes driving back from France.
Bad plan!

Ended up stranded in GodKnowsWhere in the middle of the night, with only plastic money and @#$!^&*%$#@ Belgian petrol stations only accepting %$#@ Belgian Bancontact cards - no Master, no Visa, No Maestro, no Amex

A Belgian guy gave me 10 euros worth of fuel as well as his address. I sent him a card. And the tenner. And had a bouquet delivered at his front door.

Still wonder what his wife must have thought
