Wave Practicality? Alfa 159 TI

Hi all,

I currently drive a BMW 3 series Coupe, but I am looking to change this for a late 2008/9 159 TI. I have been reading up on what to look out for but one part of advice I cant seem to find is regarding the boot space... Might sound strange but with a baby on the way, I am trying to match a sensible 4 door car, but with a great sporty drive to have some fun in as well.

For me, the 159 seems to tick the box in terms of size, looks, equipment.

I have seen comments that the boot is not as big or practical as its rivals, which is fine, I don't need a massive boot, just need to know if you can comfortably fit in all the things needed for the little one that's on its way.

I'm hoping you can help with some advice, and I wont need to go down the Mondeo route just yet!

If you are looking for a saloon, then some came with a folding rear seat. Then they are practical.

I have a saloon and I managed to get a car seat and the isofix base in there no problem, the pram which is a brittax folding one will easily fit in there too if its folded up.

The boot is plenty big and in mine at least the seats do fold down too, but the issue I found was the boot opening you have to get your big baby related stuff in at an angle but it goes in.

the 159ti is much more communicative then my previous bmw 3 series touring, way more fun to drive.

Thanks both. Nas80 that's good to know and the sort of stuff I will soon be lugging around.

I'll take a closer look at the boot angle when I go and look at some.

I think they are much better looking than the 3 series saloon and I don't think I quite need the tourer yet.

Thanks again, roll on the weekend and some test drives!
