Hi all. 3 months ago I got my first Alfa 166, a 2,4 JTD from 2003, and it has been a positive culture schock, when I for many years was a Citronist, XM and C5.
I have read most of the forums content about missing codes for ICS and also about the typical minor problems like the lid on top compartment that wont open, and the missing return of direction indicator lever.
So far I have solved the problem with the lid, by simply removing a little material from the locking tip (with filt) with a flat file.
The missing return of indicator lever I solved by lifting the rubber around the lever out, and then gave it a big spray of silicone based grease. I think the problem occure because of plastics that "dry" during time.
I have no CD changer in the car (and no cable), so I have just ordered a AUX-IN adabter from
alfa166@tiscali.nl, and my plan was to connect it to a MP3 player (now I just need to find a cable).
On Thursday I am going to get a chip tuning and increase HP from 150 to 194 and torque to 405 NM, I am like a child waiting for Christmas.
