Greetings Alfaowner from Romania.
I've finally found the time to properly introduce myself.
Young of age, sporty by nature, I've always admired the Alfa Romeo brand, and about an year and a half ago I've managed to make my dream come true..... bought myself an Alfa
Let me introduce my baby
She is a 147 1,9JTD 16V 140bhp stock, Distinctive model, date of birth: nov 2003, place of birth: Italy, name: Tantza (but don't bother, odd romanian name).
Didn't know at the time, the German bloke who sold it didn't mention anything, but at that time she was equiped with the Novitec power-kit (intercooler, silencer, power-box, air-filter) so you can guess my surprize. She was quite the little beast with her 180bhp. I'll atach a 0-60 run with the original gear below (7,1 sec):
BUT, as time went on I began to want more from my car so from january I am finally in the last steps of my transformation.
It's been a long and stressfull journey but it was well worth it. These are some of the mods that I've done:
KW suspension kit
BMC CDA airfilter
turbo-back exhaust (I've kept only the rear Novitec silencer because of the great sound)
FK tail lights
GTA look front and back bumper
GTA look roof spoiler
custom anti-roll bar
alu motor shield
3M black tinted windows
Saks performance clutch
A bigger hibrid turbocharger
REmap of course
and the list may continue
I have just installed the new tubo and we're still working on the ECU, I'm not sure yet how many bhps I have now, considering that I have 1,2-1,3bar in boost, by my stats I must have about 210bhp, and when I'll finally get the turbo to work at 1,6-1,7 bar I hope to reach the 240 limit.
About a week ago I've tested my car at a nearby go-kart track and I must tell you that I'm completely in love, the car hadles beyond my wildest dreams, the q2 diff made my car an oversteering rear-wheel drive beast. I'll post another link to a movie from the track and some pictures of her
ps: don't mind the smoke coming from the exhaust, it has changed since
