So sorry for not replying guys, been away for long long time, but I think i'm back now
1st of all, thanks for all of your greetings, I really appreciate it
more about me: I'm an engineer working for Vodafone Egypt, my job is far away from cars -as I'm a communications engineer- but I've been with cars since I ever knew how to speak
my dad taught me how to love & take care of my car. I became an Alfa Romeo owner 3 years ago, that's when I got my 74' Alfasud, it was in a very bad condition, rust everywhere, the 1.2 engine was really not going well by that time, I had to restore it 1st, then I flipped the car, so I had to do some body-work done, finally when she's back to the streets I had a lot of issues with the driving train, tried to get it fixed, but unfortunately here in Egypt very few garages do Alfa Romeo's repairs (& they don't do it as it should be!) that's where I decided to start my DIY with my Alfa Romeo, so I started by getting a chopped-off Alfa 33 1.7IE 8v from Italy, took driving train parts, electric wiring, front & rear suspension/mounting/struts, then I started working on it myself in my home- it was really a lot of fun
- then again the car is back up & running with all wiring & Alfa Control done!
with the help of my friend ZiZo- who's a car maniac as well
- done body work again as the car was left for a long time & I wasn't happy about the 1st time painting as well! now the car is going fine -except for an issue with the radiator which I'll explain later on- & I'm just waiting for paper & registration work to use it as everyday's ride
so sorry for being talkative, just wanted to give an overview about me & my Alfa!
@alfasud1972: I'll post pics & videos very soon, I'm just new to participating in forums, so I need to know my way around it, not to violate any of the forum's rules
Thanks again guys, hope you enjou your Alfa's
