Radio Interference

Hi all. I am on my 2nd 156 and have 03 model (original styling) 1.6 lusso.
Problem I have is when I have the engine running there is nasty crackling interference on the standard fit radio on the weaker stations, especially r2(no jokes please!!). Sometimes especially bad when using brakes! works fine with engine off. Cd perfect all times. Is there a suppressor that can be fitted ? Havent got any wires to remove unit to check connections. Any thoughts please.

Re: Radio Interference

Hi & welcome - I believe the rear screen element doubles as the aerial - check that for breaks (might be completely wrong though).

Re: Radio Interference

I've had two 155's and am on my second 156 and have had to fit an external aerial to all of them. Poor reception on 5 live especially. Aerial is incorporated into rear screen heater (i think) hence poor reception.
