Salutations to one and all!
At the beginning of August this year, I became the proud and thoroughly infatuated owner of a beautiful Alfa Red 2003 phase 3 3.2L V6 GTV
. Bought from a QANTAS engineer in Queensland, who took very good care of it.
Throughout my learners and provisional licenses (you have to go through 3 separate licenses, complete with restrictions to get your full drivers license here in Australia), I owned a 2005 Mazda 3. Great car, but boring as hell. I was almost looking at tracking down a nice Toyota MR2 turbo, as I've always been a sucker for pop-up headlights and rear-mounted mid-engine. (courtesy of a childhood spent playing Need for Speed with the Lamborghini Diablo SV). Then I thought back to my childhood, where I used to live in a suburb called Oatley, and I remembered how fond I was of a Zoe Yellow Twin Spark Spider that used to live around my school. One thing lead to another, and I found myself researching everything I could find about the 916s and the apparently brilliant Busso V6.
To cut a long story short. I absolutely love my GTV with a passion, and I look forward to meeting anyone else in Sydney (or anywhere, for that matter) who shows the same (or greater) love for their Alfa as I do.
