Maybe buying a Giulietta 2.0 jtdm 170
I'm currently in the market for a new motor for the Girlfriend. Due to her 300+ mile a week commute she wants something that's gonna be reliable, good on fuel, poky, comfy and nice for no other reason than it's nice to have nice things.
After exploring a few routes, I've put my sensible head on an decided it's gotta be a diesel.
My options are , Golf GT TDI 170, Audi A3 TDI 170, Leon TDI FR 170 & finnaly either the Alfa Giulietta 2.0JTDM 170 or the 2.4 Brera (althohg I'm inclinded to rule out the brera as i understand it's not hugely economical in comparisson?)
The reason I'm here is I was hoping you guys could run me through whats good and whats bad about the 2.0d Giulietta and give me a bit more info on them. I know absolutely nothing about them and I like to be clued up when going to buy a car.
There's always the unreliabilty thing surrounding Alfas (or rather there was) is this still an issue with the newer models? What shoulds I look out for? What needs to be changed and when? Whats likely to go pop? How regularly do they need servicing? Whats the general build quality like? Any options or things to avoid? Anything you guys can think of please let me know!
