Ok well I had the other engine put in after the car overheated and blew the first engine I put in the car.
So after that the motor control system failure light kept on coming on, so a trip to the garage and it was a loose earth cable.
So then comes a month or so of nice driving of car and then the oil leaks start!! AGAIN.
Anyway whilst driving to pick up a friend I had an accident which involved my car going up a very large bank and nearly tipping over. The whole underside of the car got grounded on the passengers side and the plastic bit in the wheel arch ( the very large expensive one) fell into a million pieces and scattered across a field. The metal bar that is near the wheel arch bent into the wheel and got stuck. My friends bent it back, picked the mud out of the gap between the radiator and grill and drove home. Not a scratch on the car, nothing. Its a miracle and at that moment i fell in love with my car all over again. I really did think any less of a car and I would have flipped over and done serious damage.
Since the accident the car drives straighter and smoother and it only had one oil leak than the 3 it did have.
I ve now had it serviced and it drives better. When it idles it does sound a little diesel like but not always.
And that flaming Motor control system failure light still comes on, but the car drives normal, the fuel consumption is good, the car sounds fine(maybe a little more tin -ny than usual) and then it goes out. so I haven t a clue why the car is doing that.
Anyway thats the story of my car.
And there are pics of it in the image section, Under - So clean and yet it drives
