Thanks for the welcome everyone,
I have had the MiTo for a couple of weeks now and im very impressed.
Mostly been keeping it in N (although D is great for setting at the lights...)
the stereo is amazing, you can really tell the difference between upgraded sound system (like in my 207) compared to a factory fit BOSE one.
Anyhow.. I thought id put some photos up of past cars give you guys a bit of a read...
Firstly I had a Corsa B 1.0i Trip 12V
it has no power steering, no electric windows or ABS or anything
four wheels and a engine (a very small engine)
I then got a Megane Coupe 1.6 Fiji 8V
This had electric everything.. sadly most of it didn't work!
I intended to fix it up as I bought it cheap and planned on repairing it but as with Renaults you fix one thing then something else breaks...
So I part exchanged both the Corsa and the Megane for a MK4 Seat Ibiza FR 1.9TDI
I had it for a year or so then got it remapped to take it to around 185hp and about 400nm of torque.
Seems like fun at the time but really wore out the front tyres.
the car however never missed a beat. not a single fault or flaw with it (even when remapped)
When the new Ibiza was launched i part exchanged my old one for a MK5 Seat Ibiza FR 1.4TSI
I did intend of getting it remapped too however the TSI engine was renowned for failing so i decided against it.
it had a few niggles the air con broke after 1 week of ownership and one of the drop links wore out.
some software fault caused the battery to drain if it was left unused for 2 to 3 days...
all repaired under warranty however but it started to get on my nerves.
Sadly someone in a tow truck didn't look when pulling out of a junction and wrote it off..
so that was the end of that anyway!
then I needed a cheap car so i got the Peugeot 207 Sport 1.6 VTI
It was the non turbo version, alight for a run around but painfully slow accelerating!
Only fault i had was the water temp sensor went faulty
has this for a couple of years then part exed it for the MiTo which is where i am today
MiTo Quadrifoglio Verde in Tornado Blue with Tan Leather and the BOSE sound system
I have been looking for a new car for quite some time and honestly i would rather have my MiTo than a 330 or an A5 Audi. partly because it stand out in a office car park next to the 330s and A5 but mostly because I love hot hatches!
Anyway that's my car history so far hope it was worth a read.
would be nice to have a read through of your guys car history, I have not had a good look around the forum yet. maybe there's a dedicated thread for it?
