Just found this forum and pleased to see i'm not the only poor misguided fool who would never consider driving anything but an Alfa.
I've owned Alfasuds, Sud Sprints, 33's a 156 and presently drive a 147 1.6 TS lusso which I bought new in 2002. I've had relatively few problems post warranty, the most expensive being the RPM sensor failing which was replaced at a main dealer for £190.
The clutch was changed under warranty at about 10k miles, the Variator and cam belts were changed again under warranty at 40K miles, and thats about it so other than main dealer servicing costs i've had a fairly easy time of it. (I'm touching wood).
The only problem i'm experiencing at the moment is with the cruise control which has packed up. I've checked the fuse which is OK, but think now I should consider changing the pedal sensors. Does anyone know of anything else that may be causing this problem and also what is the price of the sensors?
