Lance Knight introduction

Good evening

Not being very bright as far as computers go I hope that this is the correct spot for introductions.

My name is Lance Knight, married to Christine and a sports car enthusiast as well. I am retired and an avid Alfa Romeo owner.I have owned sports cars for the past forty years. All have been Triumph apart from a Austin Healey.
My car is a 2002 Spider 3.0 24V. I love it, but I do find various quirks quite puzzling. For instance why do the manufacturers not provide a good solid jacking point? Also where does one place axle stands for basic maintenance?
Best wishes,
Lance Knight

Re: Lance Knight introduction

Hi! Lance, good thinking about the lack of a jacking point. Makes my life on the DIY front, more awkward as well. Last one I had with a square box section, midway along the sill, was a Lancia Beta HPE. Mark you, the sills themselves were virtually non existent, prior to my re-building them.Drains from sunroof terminated between, inner, outer, sills, and floor pan.Could still jack on the box section though, as it was welded to the floor. If you enjoy jacking them up, I bought myself a hefty jackng beam, adjustable height pads, that sits well on my Bradbury trolley jack, makes life easier. Anyway, enough of my rambling, hope you enjoy AO.zf.
