Just found this forum and was pleasantly surprised. I live in The Netherlands, Groningen. My relatives still call me Hans, but a lot of the members of the Dutch Alfa Romeo Club (SCARB
) know me as Dink or Dinky Boy. That's the nick my former girlfriend gave me when I admitted to collect scale models. Well, she went, the collection, the nick and the cat stayed
This is me behind the wheel of the Scighera
I'm member of the Dutch club and also a member of its Events Committee. One of our main activities is organising our annual club weekend, the Spettacolo Sportivo
(also English text available).
I'm also member of the AROC, and sometimes join the foreign events, like the Alfa Eire trip, the Oldtimer Grand Prix at the Nürburgring and last year the trip to Sicily to watch the Centennial Targa Florio (which was a rather disappointing event with only some local heroes and none of the promised Big Names).
I will post here only now and then since I'm also active on the Dutch SCARB forum
and some others like www.diecastcentral.co.uk
. This takes a lot of time (too much in fact) so I have to restrict myself a bit
For those who are interested in Alfa Scale models, check the link in my signature. I have started this thread two years ago and it has become a large encyclopedia of scale model novelties. It's all in Dutch, you can use Babelfish
for translating some text if you like.
