Here I am an Alfa owner, who would have thought. It goes like this. ..
I'm 50 years old and I've been into bikes since I was 14. My policy was always to make sure my wife had a nice car and I would drive any old cheese for commuting and stuff. Things panned out a bit and for the first time in my life I bought a car before my previous one turned into scrap metal.I decided I could actually be driving something nice without having to bankrupt myself or immersing myself into lifelong debt.
So what did I want. Something a bit sporty. Something pleasing to the eye. Something different. Something practical and tbh something with a bit of economy.
After maybe a year of pondering and juggling stats I saw the gt. I knew I wanted one straight away before even knowing the Stats. Then I was delighted to find there was a 150hp diesel version.
I bought a 55 1.9 jtdm.
After only two weeks I'm already tormenting myself that I want the big one but tbh I still have 2 big rug rats emptying my fridge and overloading my washing machine on a daily basis.
So I'm loving the Alfa. If feels like not the best car ever, not the fastest, not the best handling but it's mine and it's the only alfa in a Sea of bland beemers and audis etc at work. (I love that bit)
I live in Scotland very near Loch lomond and I'm an engineer in the whisky industry. I have two sons, a lovely wife And a cracking wee dog called desmo. Incidentally my bikes are Ducatis.
Thanks for having me along
