Hi All,

Have always fancied an Alfa but never dared to buy one. But as I am hopefully about to buy a car, specifically a diesel estate, for commuting to work and hopefully man enough to tow a caravan I have stumbled across the 159 Lusso. I was looking at BMW's and Audi's but then someone suggested looking at Alfa's. And I am sorely tempted and wanted to check out the pros and cons of a modern Alfa. Fingers cross it will fit the bill.

Cheers Jeff

Hi Jeff,
My Dad had a classic Alfa and I always loved it, yesterday after much consideration I picked up a new Giulietta and drove her to Portland Bill! The car is fantastic but as yet I have only done 76 miles.
Good luck in your Alfa search.

Hi :hi:

Welcome to AO

Depending on what engine you go for and what your budget is the 159 is a very capable car, there are a lot of ver happy SW drivers on here (a lot longing to drive one as well ) The 2.4 would be the stronger engine if your looking to tow a caravan and the Ti spec would be the best to go for but a Lusso is still a very nice spec if budget is a little more restricted.

Im the Rep for our area so feel free to pop in here --> (Southerners... Chat away!) and have a chat (Same for you Ratch )

or check here for more advice on the 159 -->
