Glad to have found you.

Hi,

Glad I found this site, I use to drive a Lexus and used their owners club site for useful information and posting topics. Moved over to an Alfa GT JTD In January of this year and what a year its been. Love the car and would not consider going back. Working in IT security, I use the car for work so the only down side is the miles I put on my baby. It still look good as new as have the sacred Sunday morning dedicated to the kids or the car!!!!.

Anyway, looking forward to reading the topics and getting more out of the car.

BTW Ė anyone fitted a double din head unit?

Cheers.

Ash

Good choice - well made

I'm sure someone will be able to give you some advice on your double din head (not even sure what one is??? ).

Good luck & enjoy the ride!!

Hi Ash and welcome to AO

I also use my Alfa for the daily commute to work, and therefore clock up 64.5 very satisfying klms per day

good job you donít live in England, as they will soon charge something like £1 to £1.35 a mile on the busiest roads, thatís around £435 a week for you (the very worst case scenario) they say they are doing this to save the environment......YES......thatís the reason

Sorry, there's me about to rant on like there was no tomorrow, so...er....Welcome

Double height stereo...normal size is called one din, no idea why, perhaps it's twice the noise (sorry!).

Re: Glad to have found you.

Thanks everybody for the worm welcome.

I've been looking to replace my standard head unit. was considering the AVIC-X1R but the price is just a tad to much for me at the moment. So my other option was to look at the Kenwood double din unit. DDX 6027 or the new version. Could do with finding out if i remove the current head unit and the card / cup holder (plus remove the centre bar between the two) that the head unit would fit?

Any advice would be welcome and thanks again for the welcome.

Ash
