Well that is me, I mean this is me. Found this forum while searching about how to make my 2003 facelift, 156 1.9 jtd SW even better than it already is, without much financial input ... and I must say I am more than satisfied with ... her?
I like to drive ... "rally" ... a lot
and the car sticks on the road as a chewing gum, it goes as I never expected, especially for a 85kW sport wagon, torque is excellent, handling predictable, steering feel perfect, steering wheel fits like a glove, interior timeless, sound system great, everything works as should, looks fantastic (do not like the sedan look so much as SW).
Been to Davos and back to Ljubljana(1500km), so I drove trough Deutschland ... no speed limits ... and trough Switzerland and Liechtenstein ... rally land
... ... ... avg. consumption 5,2 l/100km ... ... hat down!
The issue I have now, have had for a long time ... but it does not affect the car too much, until you end up going fast, uphill, on the motorway on a hot day for a longer period of time ... it tends to get extra hot if you keep going strong ... but it is probably the thermostat or the radiator ... so yes, that I have to change. And the never ending thing with the wishbones ... well and a few exterior built flaws like the paint getting scraped of the front wheel arches(design flaw), the Germans would not do that ... but the Germans would not have built this car
... it really is a special kind of vehicle.
Well ... in an Alfanistanian way ... that is more or less my short introduction.
Have a nice day ... driving.
