Back again.

I joined up months ago when interested in the Brera when it first arrived in Australia...went cold on it soon after sitting in the back seat! (Unfortunately there are still some things in life extreme beauty cannot compensate for.)

I owned a 156 in the late 90's, before going back to wrxsti, and since then a Mazda rx8 - which the brera could have replaced.

But on to topic: yesterday I purchased in Newcastle (our Newcastle is just North of Sydney) a lovely 2002 5door 147 Selespeed, 58000km, red with tan leather. I bought it for my daughter who is studying in Brisbane, so that is where the car will live most of the year. A surprise she is still unaware of, but you can look forward to another newforum member in the weeks to come.

We are going to be looking for links and info. especially relative to Eastern Australia...any suggestions?

What most excites me is the fact that it is RED (the 156 was blue.)Jeremy Clarkson was right when he stated that everyone needs to own an Alfa at least once in their life - he omitted adding that it must be red.

Looking forward to future communication,
Jack.

Re: Back again.

Jed,
I love the rx8, however it turns 3 tomorrow so I feel like another change.
Drove a mate's new Golf gti dsg last week and was very impressed. (As I live in the country on dirt roads the 4wd Golf R32 might be more appropriate.)
Any opinions? Also saw photos of the convertible Eos online, due in Oz next April; Very tasty - but is it a hairdresser's car?
Jack.

Re: Back again.

Eos? - Doesn't really follow your bloodline - unless you're considering a radical career change and a change in country!!
Does it need to be 4wd/robust/sporty?

The R32 would be fun...

Alternatively I'd be borrowing your daughter's bella and add a remap mod or two
