Help irvn

hello everyone
new member first time i've owned an alfa.was advised against it,but loved the car.bought second hand 156 2ltr t spark.problems already
1 temp guage dont heat up unless stopped cold scottish weather?
2 lack of power below 3000 revs above 3000 wow!
3 erratc idle when stopping usually settles, sometimes cuts out
4 high fuel consumption
was told it had been serviced on purchase?
the faults above started appearing slowly.maybe not serviced, just touched up to sell?
love the car, want to upgrade to v6 model, but worried about reliabillity
any ideas about probs above?
thanks

Re: irvn

Welcome aboard. Your point 2 is normal - thats how the 2.0s work. It needs higher revs then gets going
