I am leading up to the time when I am about to decide which car to change to (New). I currently own an Abarth 500, manual transmission. (Don't all shout!!)
Next time round I require to have an automatic as my OH, due to knee problems, finds it very uncomfortable to continually use the clutch pedal.
Options are : Abarth 500 with the MTA box, but have heard a lot of mixed views on these, mainly against re lagging gear changes.
OR, The Alfa Romeo Guilietta, which I must admit looks very appealing in the flesh. Unsure as to which engine to go for but require the TCT transmission.
My driving style is predominantly urban with around 5 to 6 long journeys a year and annual mileage 10K.
I believe the quality of Alfa's have improved over the years. I remember in the mid 1990's looking around a new Alfa in a showroom, (cannot remember which model) and when I sat in the driver's seat and twiddled the levers on the drivers seat they fell off in my hand.
So your unbiased views would be appreciated, I have a couple of months to make up my mind.
