Lick Back for another Alfa

It's time to dip my toes into Alfa world for the second time...

Currently busy wearing out a 146 by commuting between Norwich & Leeds - great car, one of the best I've had - helped by my local independant ALFASHOP in Norwich. Folks there a dead reliable, good prices, helpful advice - a far cry from the main dealer round the corner.

I'm now looking for a 156 JTD for my next toy - problem is finding one! anyone got any good recommendations for independants that acually sell cars up yorkshire way? got the money, can't find the car. Does any one know what 'veloce' gives you over 'turismo' on the latest facelift 156's? how about mileage? I have had my 146 for 70k or so, it's a bit notchy in the gearbox now. I'll be keeping the 156 for 4-5 years at least I shoudl think - what are the gremlins to look for at higher mileages? Should I worry about buying a car with 50k on it already? Anyone had any problems with these JTDs?

It'll be a great Christmas - if I can find one!

Re: Back for another Alfa

welcome to AO dude.....

good luck in ur search....

just make sure it has got a full service history from either a main dealer or reputable indie and that it has got both sets of keys, they are quite expensive to get re-cut...
