156 selespeed

Idea scanman

hi there,i,m looking for advice for my 156 selespeed.i accidentlyhit the rev limiter in first and now it sounds like a tank,like the exhaust has come off.would that be it or do you think i have done damage to the engine.

Its certainly possible you could have blown part of the manifold or gasket...or any part of the exhaust, Ive hit the limiter quite a few times on mine without any problems.
Its impossible to say if youve done any damage without further info

Wonder if the belt has jumped a tooth. Only real advice is get it to a garage and see what they say....sorry.
