Help Alfa 156 Sportswagon 60,000 new rad

The coolant has been flushing out somewhere. The rad has been replaced and the coolant is down again.
Any known reason.
Is it just wear and tear on tubes?
I have found Alfa wear and tear to be well known and soon identified.
I think a main dealer.
The vehicle is Y Reg and we want to run it on like to 146 to 90,000.
Just a bit concerned.

Hi and welcome.....can you see any leaks on the floor? Has the system been bled properly...how much coolant are you losing?

Only other reason for coolant loss is head gasket.

...another thought, heater matrix. Have you got soggy footwells?

Re: Alfa 156 Sportswagon 60,000 new rad

Thanks for the help. The coolant is holding up. I have been reading other threads about rad changes and the vehicle is on 60,000. New tyres fitted this year. Temp gauge showing between 50 and 60 and then at just over 90 fan comes on so I am hoping that it was just a top up after the mechanic fitted the new rad.
Booked in for service next Monday and the MOT. Here is hoping all will be smiles for miles and miles.
May change car next March.

No flooding. Got a bit hot last week. No head gasket gone. Short journeys and top up seem to be the answer. I shall be opening the bonnet more until I am satisfied that all is well.

Good car.
