Hello, and questions

Hello, I bought a used Alfa Romeo 156(TS 2.0) one month ago.
I'm very happy to find a nice community.

BTW, my car needs a cambelt change(5yr, 50k) but I'm having trouble finding alfa specialist in Southampton area. I have contacted a garage in Hedge End, and they said 515 gbp

Please recommand someone reasonable near Southampton.
Thanks.

welcome to AO dude....

Cambelt and Tensioners should be changed every 36k or 3 years, whichever is sooner, whilst your there change the variator if it needs it, shouldn't cost any more labour, just the part

http://home.hccnet.nl/jaap.bouma/PhaseVariator.htm

will get back to you on a specialist in the your area

all the best

Re: Hello, and questions

Wow, very thanks for fast response!

Unfortunately, the garage i contacted was Southern Alfa (mentioned in the above threads). I'm not sure if the man was jeff, but what he told is "it will take all day, and costs 515"
Is this a normal price for cambelt change in Southern Alfa?
