My Interview

Your Forum name - Jamcam23

Real name - James Cameron

Age - - 27

Occupation Managing Director (Home Automation Company)

Lives Bickley (Kent)

Marital StatusSingle (Girlfriend)

which cars do you drive and why? - Alfa 156 2.0 TSpark (Manual)

Are you a real passionate for Alfa Romeo? Definetly, caught the bug as soon as I drove my friends 2.5 V6. Been hooked ever since.

What or how started your passion for Alfa Romeo and…
….do you think it’s fundamental to own one to have the passion?

See above, as stated by Clarkson, anyone into cars should own an Alfa, or at least drive one. I’ve driven Merc’s, BMW’s, Audi’s and the rest but nothing stirs the soul like an Alfa.

Would you ever consider joining an Alfa Club or are you already a member of one?Yes, but I look at the forum like a club anyway.

What do you like most about Alfas? Overall (apart from style & performance) I would say the look of individuality.

What do you like least about Alfas?Reliability (Sorry!)

What would be your dream cars?
Alfa Romeo 8C, Autodelta GT Super, Porsche 993 GT2, Maserati Quattroporte and Ferrari 355

What car would you least like to drive?New Honda Civic (Looks like It was designed when 'Back to the future 2 was made' Hey McFly!!!)

For you, what’s the most popular thread on AO? - 156,159,147 section

What would be your ideal drive in an Alfa (destination, passenger, driving music, etc)?
Through Italy, stopping off at the Alfa factory then down to Maranello, with girlfriend (No other choice!). Listening to the Café Del Mar Series.

Any humorous Alfa or car-related stories you wish to share with us? Not funny at the time, but I was driving home and suddenly lost all power due to bearing failure and lost power steering as well. So I had to coast 30 meters down the road until I saw a gap in the pavement to pull over, before it was too late I realised it was someone’s driveway, but I had committed so I just pulled up into their front garden and when they came out I pretended I was lost!.

What interests do you have outside of Alfas? Basketball, clubbing (Dontstayin.com) and heavy drinking (no driving those nights!)

Tell us something nobody knows about you. (E.g. special skill, ever been on TV, etc) Once I literally knocked over Craig David as I was running for an elevator, and I didn’t say sorry as I hate his music!

Do you have a party trick? If so what is it?Winner of Power hour 3 times in a row (Drink a shot of beer every minute on the minute for an hour, it equates to 12 cans of lager.

What do you like most about the Alfaowner forum? Any favourite threads, episodes or people?Friendly bunch, no attitude and really helpful, has enabled me to fix little problems without having to go to a dealer.

If you had £50,000 you had to spend in 72 hours, how would you choose to spend it?Casino, Baby!

Made small talk with the bemused home owners! Waited 10 mins for the engine to cool down and gingerly drove it home almost entirely in 3rd gear!.It wasn't pleasant and i probably did the engine no favours. But as i was 10 mins from home i decided i could make it. (Foolish, don't try it!)
