Big Smiles Already
Just wanted to introduce myself and start getting involved with the community.
Always loved Alfas but never quite been the right time to get one, with a long list of colourful cars including two Mazda RX7 FD's under my belt I am not new to owning fun, frustrating, invigorating and pain in the back side cars that give you allot of grief but also buckets of fun.
I have just purchased my first Alfa at the ripe old age of 25, it is a new shape 147 JTD 1.9l Lusso. After my A - B car died at the MOT station I had to pick up a new car and now seemed like the right time. (Also got an absolute steal of deal!)
My alfa has had one previous owner and has more paperwork and service history then any car I have seen and it shows, before I brought it I had it checked at a garage and they were amazed at how clean it was inside, under the bonnet and just in general.
It will need the rear bushes done as they have just started to go which I will do shortly, the only other very unfortunate thing was that the car was in the wrong place at the wrong time and sustained some hail damage from what the owner described as golfball sized hailstones. This has left some shallow dents on the bonnet and roof panel but not so bad that you would notice without a closer inspection, I intend to replace the bonnet at some point but not in any rush as it is the engine and driving experience that is what I am after and it doesn't disappoint!
Feels fast, planted and considering its a diesel it's an awesome drive. Every moment I can I make an excuse to go out and drive it and can't help but be playful with the throttle, smiles everytime from a daily driver. :in love:
Anyway that's me, I am glad to finally be a member and hopefully when the not so good parts rear there head this forums knowledgable members and host of threads will get my new little gem back on track!
