MY PROBLEMS ARE PROBABLY SELF INFLICTED.... WATER HAS GOT ONTO THE ENGINE SETTING ABOUT A SPIKEING AFFECT ALONG THE ELECTRICS. a NEW ECU AND THE LAST TIME A FUEL INJECTOR WAS LEFT OPEN POURING UNBURNT UNLEADED THROUGH !
WAITING TO SEE IF CAT WILL BE OK OR IF THERE WILL BE ANOTHER EPISODE....
HAS ANYONE SUFFERED THIS TYPE OF PROBLEMS BEFORE ?
HOPE PICS AND STORIES ON YOUR SITE WILL RESTORE MY LOVE OF ALFA. HAMMI.
Welcome on board!
As you can see I am also a new member (Joined last week) and Already I am quite addicted to the AO Forum.
...Because there is a great expertise, lots of advice and above all the Geniuine community of passionate members. It is a Paradise for Alfa Lovers!!
Hope you will enjoy this site as much as I do!
As far as your 166 are concerned, I can offer all my sympathy to you because I have been in similar situation with my car the 4 last months (due to various issues).
The most frustrating is that my car is still under warranty and Alfa do their best to ignore this.
Evenso I still love the car to bits but I hate very much the official UK (lack of) support from the Brand.
Having said that, sharing my troubles with other owners is a great therapy and discussing why Alfa's are such exciting cars reminds us very easely why we bought the car at the first place.
So it is not useless to share positive/negative experience with everybody there because the owners, contrary to the UK officials do listen and respond nicely.
I wish you all the Best and hope a good a quick recovery to your 166 (which in my opinion remains the most beautiful car designed by Walter de Silva)
