Thought I'd drop by and say "hello".... will be picking up an Alfa on Saturday (26th Aug).
A change of job really means a diesel and the only diesel I liked the look of (in anything like my price range) was the GT. Test drove a couple, went to look at another one and ended up coming away having agreed a purchase on...... a 2.4l 156
I prefer coupe's and have had the mick extracted having been vocal, in the past, about cars having too many doors (i.e more than 2)! Pigeons, roost, home, coming, to are words thrown my way.
My primary car interest is in TR7's (still own my first car that I bought 16yrs ago) and run the website www.TriumphTR7.com
, with the missus owning a HDC (hairdresser car) variety and me with a 1976 fixed head.
As for car history - my last two cars have been the v6 Fraud Probe (the best Ford that Mazda ever built!) which was primarily purchased as it could my bike in the boot without having to remove wheels, etc. And the car that's gone to make way for the Alfa was a Mitsu FTO GPX.... I generally like 'rare/different' cars with decent performance. So the Alfa fails the 'rare' criteria but at least the performance is okay and I'll be looking at a re-map to boost the horses from the current 175 in the none-to-distant future.
