Re: I want a 145 (hi by the way)

hey, i just bought a v reg 145 clover, its a wonderful car and im shure youl enjoy one! mine has done 62K and as such is approaching its cambelt and plug replacement service. this will be an expensive service so depending on the age of car/ milage that your looking for you might want to consider this in budget... perhaps a car with higher miles thats had the big bucks service would be more cost effective. i also read loads of internet reviews before lookin and buying. service history seemed to be a crucial point for the twinspark engine too, less so than the earlier boxxer engines tho - so lots of history/reciepts for the basic oil change (max 12k, 1yr) is important. i also read somewhere that overheating can be an issue, so good coolant up keep is important. i saw a car that i didnt buy which had blown a head gasket recently, due to overheating, and had been fitted with some kind of aftermarket exhaust manifold. so maybe that contributed to the overheating? its is a sporty quick car so attracts molesting boy racers that do these things!! think ill just keep mine standard! well theres a block of info, hope it helps and that you find a nice one!

Thanks very much mate, i have seen a nice one on autotrader on an R plate which has done 70000 miles for 1495, i am quite interested in that. Would that have the boxer engine? Which is the best engine to get?
