Hello all, I'm John and live in Bridlington, I'm closer to my state pension than I care to admit, but I'm still agile enough to slide in and out of our newly acquired Alfa Spider!
I've long been around motor engineering and was designing and building turbocharging systems back in the late 1970's along with performance engine preparation and dyno tuning,
I was pointed to the forum by a member who who sold me the car having decided with much regret to bail out due to spiraling repair costs, I don't suffer the indignity of paying anyone to do my repairs, so it was a do-able project for me, And I'm saving it from the scrapper, can't be many Phase 1's left now!
The car is a 1996 2.0TS which was bought as a stopgap runabout until our daily driver was repaired, I thought my wife would hate it, but on her first outing in it, the sun came out and I was able to drop the top for the first time - the boss declared (indecently quickly) it might be nice to keep it as a Xmas prezzy to each other ........ (Yeeeeeessssss - Result)
Now to do some more trawling through ECU and coding issues!
BTW, the Humberside 'Come meet us' link is as dead as the Humberside region itself, which region would cover East Yorkshire?
Regards to all
