Wave Hi

I'm Adam and I drive a red GTV. Bought it two months ago in preference to a Celica (bit too bland and sensible). Loving the car, once it's in flight it sounds amazing and handles wonderfully (even the girlfriend approves). It's my first properly quick car that I've owned so I'm still taking it steady(ish!).

If anyone could recommend a good fast driving course I'd appreciate it. And give some idea of the costs involved in going to one of the track days, tires/brakes/insurance etc.

Cheers guys.

Re: Hi

Welcom Adam.
Sold 20ltr GTV bought a Celica (sorry no Guts) 6 weeks later sold the celica and bought a 3ltr V6 GTV.

Top choice.
Can't help with the driving course but you will get more confident when you get use to the extra power.

Re: Hi

Hi Adam & welcome to AO

If you're looking for a training/experience package for fast/safe road car handling I would suggest the HPC course with John Lyon Motoring Ltd... www.john-lyon.com or Cadence Driver Developement... www.cadence.co.uk I did a similar HPC course many years ago and to this day my daily (and very quick) commute is based on the lessons learned from the course.

Track day experience packages are also available to familiarise newbies to track rules/etiket and car handling at the limits of adhesion etc... check it out at your local track.
