New Brera owner

Well, almost!

After many years of 'bottling it' when it came to Alfa ownership I've finally let my heart rule my head and put a deposit on a 2009 Alfa Red Brera 2.4 Jtdm Q-tronic with natural leather, 19 inch Prodrives, DPF and EGR delete and remap.

Absolutely stunning, but I guess you guys already know that!

Not the most practical of choices with a teenager and 10 year old but we have other more 'family friendly' transport if required!

Wife wanted me to go for a 159 Ti (nearly bought her a Mito last year) but I knew that if I did, I'd always regret not getting a Brera!

Would have been more than happy with a manual but was quite impressed with th Q-tronic, seems to provide the best of both worlds.

Not completely new to Italian car ownership having owned a near new Fiat Coupe 20v Turbo in 2000 which I absolutely loved despite the dealer's best efforts to ruin the ownership experience!

Hopefully picking up next week, can't wait even though I suspect that I'll be needing the expert help and advice available on the forum at some time in the future!

Best regards

Thanks for the warm welcome chaps!

I'm looking forward to Alfa ownership and hopefully dispelling a few myths!

Already need to start thinking of a cambelt change when I collect it, something I'd overlooked until reading the forum. Car's four years old and 56,000 miles. At least it comes with a comprehensive warranty!
