Back into the fold

Hi Guys

Thought I'd better say hello. Just re joined the happy world of alfa ownership after 3 years away driving a barge (E Class Merc). Have a 156 previous to that (2.5 V6). Gone diesel this time (159 2.4JTDm Lusso) with plenty of toys (18" wheels, Bose, Nav, 10 Disc changer, IR Glass, Frau leather, Xenons, trizone a/c, F+R Parking sensors). Only done about 120 miles so far and all seems good (well nothing of note has fallen off yet!). Does seem like a tad too much vibration at idle, i'll see how it is in a week and if it doesnt settle then I'll drop it back in to get looked at. Car came from Perry's in Portsmouth, when I picked up of Friday, Simon (very helpful sales guy) advised me they arent an AR dealer from Monday, but another is opening in the area...

Cheers

Re: Back into the fold

Hi Mike

I did ask them about this, apparently the "official" reason is that Alfa Romeo want to move to single brand sites (ie Alfa only garages), wheres Perrys Portsmouth were Alfa / Peugeout. Perrys site in Amersham (which is Alfa only) is unaffected.

So as of today, Perrys Portsmouth are now a Peugeout / Fiat dealer.

He did mention a new dealership opening soon, apparently where the old Honda garage was (I'm not sure where this was though!).

Cheers

Hi Malc - welcome to AO

Congratulations on your new purchase Any chance of some pics of your new car?

I've seen a couple of 159's around the Portsmouth area - remember to wave if you see a deranged looking person in a blue 156 (with a big dent in the passenger side ) waving at you

I would guess that would be the old Derek Warwick Honda site on the Havant Road in Drayton. I believe it is going to be a Meridien dealership - supposedly opening in July......
