Driving 164 for charity

Hello Alfa fans! I'm in a team who are also doing the Staples2Naples banger rally this year. For any of you who have seen Team Piston Broke's forum posts about the rally, we are the other team entering a 164 TS.

As you can imagine, it's had a few issues, most of which I've had a pop at fixing. There's a bit of work to do before we MoT it but nothing serious.

We did the same rally last year in a 1989 Rover 213 which was faultlessly reliable and a bit boring as a result. What we want this year is that perpetual sense of impending disaster hanging over us: hence the Alfa.

This is not my first Alfa: I had a 166 3.0 Sportronic which obviously cost me a lot more than 100 quid but which I managed to kill off by rolling it into a field. Please don't hate me!

I put a couple in the Members' Gallery, along with my sadly departed 166 3.0 V6: http://www.alfaowner.com/Forum/aogal...0/ppuser/14169

Death by rolling - esp while at the redline - is an honourable Alfa death. We should have a facility to award a medal for valourous driving !
