Warning Hello alfa owners .....

Has anyone had dealing with ********* ?

I ordered a Goodridge brake hose kit last week for my 156 SW and so far it's not arrived - I was quoted max 7 day delivery on the 14th June. My attempts to contact ********* have failed, no response to e-mail or voice mail. any ideas ?

Re: Hello alfa owners .....

Interesting you say p o w e r a l f a!! I was trying to ring them all day yesterday as they are only down the road from me to see if they had the Zender gearknob in stock. No reply despite ringing about a million times (I hate an unanswered phone!) and no reply to a couple of emails. I decided to drive over and asked at the published address if they were around and they said 'he used to work out of here but doesn't anymore'! Didn't say they had ceased trading but they are not at Long March anymore. Spoke to both Motorvogue (Alfa dealer) in Northampton & Zender in Daventry who both use pwr alfa and they said they had not been able to get hold of him for a while, may be on hols?? The mystery remains

I almost ordered the gear knob off the pwr alfa site anyway as they state quick delivery but then decided against it just in case he's gone bust. Ordered it from Zender but over a week to deliver from Germany.

Anyone know anything else?

p.s. how come it ****'s things out?

Deserted the marque, nut not for long!

Re: Hello alfa owners .....

When the AO shop was running it was a direct competitor of AO - same online shop software, looked quite similar so its blocked to avoid lost sales I would think..
I think its just run by one fella from his home now

Re: Hello alfa owners .....

Definitely a guy called John on his own, can't have much in stock unless he has a big garage!!

Seems quite a lot of the motor websites use the same software!

Would definitely use the AO shop were it open, used it years ago for lowering kit for the 146!! Happy days

Re: Hello alfa owners .....

Only in so much as I've ordered a new once that won't be here till end of next week!! Direct from Zender. One of the helpful members (fantomalfa i think) is sending me his old one to help me out for next few days.

Currently driving with a mangled bit of plastic, daredn't go for 6th gear in case it slips into reverse!!!

Will try and post a pic!!

...and that's just in it's relaxed state!!! It cut my finger this morning, evil b*stard, had to prize it off with a screwdriver so there's sticky out bits all over the place.

The knob of extreme power

Jon got in touch (from p-o-w-e-r-a-l-f-a) and explained he'd been on holiday. I now received my Goodridge brake hose and plan to fit them on Saturday.
