whining belts

i had my cam belt, auxilary power belt and cam variator changed on my 2002 spider and belts seem to be making a whining noise, i was just wondering if anyone knows if this is normal

My 146 has a whining sound coming from the Timing gear side of the engine, even after changing the timing belt , idler , tensioner and variator the same whine is still there,I always thought it was the variator or one of the bearings, now I'm not sure, I have heard other say that there alfa has the same whine, I don't think it is anything major.

No whine, but mine's still "dieselly" after the belt and variator replacement...
