Help Hello everybody

Hi everybody, just sold my puma and bought a 156 1.8 turismo 02 plate on the 3rd of June just last week, got a list of stuff to do as it's only 3,000 miles from it's 72,000 mile service, belts, variator thing ?, plugs and filters all scheduled to be changed. Anyone know of anything else I should be changing other than the obvious oil and stuff.

Re: Hello everybody

Hi Lex. Welcome to AO.

If the belts and tensioners have never been replaced before, at 36,000 miles, I would advice you to replace them tomorrow if not sooner.

Re: Hello everybody

yeah I've got a mate at arnold clark who's ordering all the parts tomorrow from the Arnold Clark Fiat dealership in Ayrshire, belts, tensioners, variator, plugs, fulters coming in at under 300 quid so I know he's doing me a good turn. Labour roughly 230 so pretty good sounding, I was told it would take in the region of 5 hours ???

Re: Hello everybody

Have my 156 just sorted after 6 months, in addition to the obvious fixes, get someone to look at the track rods and bushes front and rear, they seem to be an ever frequent wear item...
