Tweaking My 156
Another newbie here. I've just bought my first Alfa for 22 years (I used to have a 2.0GTV) and was wondering if there's any concensus on what what works and what doesn't. I have a 1998 156 1.8 TS with the sport 1 pack, I think.
I was thinking specifically about induction kits and back boxes or cat-back systems. I don't want to go wild just add a little oomph and improve the sound a little. I am not much of a spanner monkey so I'm really asking about something I can get done easily by a tame garage.
I have used Supersprint and Remus stuff on prev cars. I am not much of a pipercross fan as the quality was diabolical. With an induction kit and exhaust is ecu remapping necessary or does it work best with the stock programme. I'd trade a bit of top end for some more torque lower down the rev range. Any help would be much appreciated. Not too technical please or I will glaze over, no offence!
Big hi to everyone!
