Alarming high pitched squeek

Hi

I have a 3-yr-old 156 1.9 JTD veloce which I love and my husband hates (he didn't want me to buy it). Me and the car are seriously in the bad books again. There have been various problems with the car (minor) and dealerships (major). Currently the car has developed a high pitch squeak, which starts up after the car has warmed up, is intermittent, changes pitch slightly on steering and stops under hard breaking. It went in to a dealership out of our area for this reason. Had its 3 year service which was almost due- at the same time and they said it was due to dust on the front offside break- they deglazed it and low and behold it is still making the noise- had to come home so booked it in with local dealership who looked at it and said that the rear offside caliper is seized overheating and damaging the pad (which we were told was fine yesterday) and THAT is what is causing the squeak. Dealership 1 are refusing to accept this saying it definately wasn't seized when they saw it. Have agreed to refund for the deglazing though. I've yet to find out if the squeak has gone (husband gone to get car). We are due to drive to cornwall tomorrow (200 miles).
